Let's Groove Tonight Pittsburgh Concert reviews
MAYER EATEN BY BASS!! Good musicians; bad sound.
The concert was a gift for my wife, and I'm not too familiar with Let's Groove Tonight's music. The crowd stayed on their feet throughout the entire show. Let's Groove Tonight, the "Star," along with his talented musicians, performed solidly for nearly two hours. His band took a break while he continued with a solo acoustic set.
It's disappointing that the fantastic guitar work and clever lyrics were drowned out by the overpowering bass. Everything else struggled to be heard due to the sound mix. His stage presence doesn't make up for the loss in sound quality that his recordings capture better.
His voice has a bluesy tone, and his mouth movements are quite captivating. His exaggerated facial expressions are oddly mesmerizing, as if he's trying to spit something out at the end of a phrase. His kabuki-like gestures are truly a wonderland. If you enjoy Let's Groove Tonight, you'll definitely love this concert.
